However reinforcements always turned up and we had the luxury of rotating the selection for one game! Consequently we struggled against the likes of Middleton, Slinfold etc but had a glorious 4-0 victory in our final match against local rivals Storrington 4ths!!

Thanks to all the other players who took part- Chris G, Neil H, Grahame K, Julian B (who probably played most matches), Ian C, and Dominic P. In particular it is good to welcome young blood into the team in the form of Dominic. Over the three matches he played, Dominic quickly became accustomed to match-play and helped us to victory.

For the summer season we should have more players available and, with the longer days, hope to have more regular practices, particularly for the team before each match, which makes a big difference to our form.

Thanks too to all the wives and mums who baked cakes and supervised sandwiches that our players provided.
